QuillBot Humanizer in 2026: Is It Actually Worth Using?

I’ve never liked the idea of AI that makes machines more human. I always felt they were unnecessary and couldn’t make content produced by AI feel organic.

I changed my mind and no longer viewed it as a tool that “turns AI into human writing.” Rather, I saw it as a tool for rewriting it. It still depends on the original text and the settings you select, but it improves the flow and readability of some common text.

Check out this video; it shows some of the tests I ran with Quillbot’s Humanizer. I put a piece of AI-generated writing through the tool to see how much it could improve the writing and make it sound more natural. That's only one example of what I tried, but you should look at the entire thing to see how Quillbot manages non-academic content created by AI.

Where does it work?

The paraphraser does this already, but the Humanizer could help make your AI-assisted draft sound more natural if you want to make it sound more robotic before you send it. That's understandable and not that important.

If I was turning in work for a class, an application, or a job in which getting caught would really hurt me, I'd put the brakes on. You might be wrong in thinking it will always work to bypass hiring or academic checks, and the reviews I've read this year back that up.

2026 Should you buy it?

If you pay for Quillbot to use the paraphraser and grammar checker, you get the Humanizer for free. It takes the edge off for an AI-made draft. And I wouldn't trust Quillbot to be a safe bet to avoid detection if getting caught was a bad outcome. I would not pay for it just for the Humanizer. Which means they are good at polish, not at promises. As I feel about people who try to humanize other people.
